How To Clean a TV

As with any other black electrical appliances, dust is not only attracted to the surfaces, but also shows up more than on other furniture. Whether you are looking to clean your flat screen TV, a smart TV, or even your computer monitor, here are some steps for doing so;

Firstly, you must ensure that your television is turned off and unplugged before cleaning it, this is a safety precaution.

Next, using a soft cloth, wipe around the surround of the TV. For the screen, use a screen cleaner and polish the screen with this to ensure it is free of finger prints, dust and smears. Be careful not to press too hard on the screen when you are cleaning it.

You must NEVER use any kind of abrasive or harsh cleaner on your TV, white spirit, alcohol, and no soap and water either. Make sure that the cloths you use are soft and lint free, and this will ensure no scratches or smears.

Make sure that the TV is dry before plugging it back in. Again, this is a safety precaution as it shouldn’t ever at any time be wet with water or cleaner.
